8-month-old receives Hong Kong’s second organ donation from mainland China
一名八个月大的婴儿Whitney在香港接受了来自中国内地的第二次器官捐赠，成功进行了心脏移植手术。这是继2022年首次跨境器官捐赠后，香港与中国内地建立沟通渠道的又一次成功应用。手术于周日在香港儿童医院进行，目前Whitney正在重症监护室接受观察。
由于中国内地没有合适的接受者，经两地专家确认该心脏适合Whitney移植后，内地决定将捐赠的心脏送到香港。本次手术由来自北京国家卫生健康委医院管理研究所的专家进行，手术历时约6个半小时。这是香港第二例通过特殊安排接受内地器官捐赠的案例，此前四个月大的女婴Cleo Lai Tsz-hei也于2022年12月成功接受了来自内地的捐赠心脏。
