Zeekr joins China’s autonomous-driving race with plans to unveil tech at Shanghai car show

Zeekr Intelligent Technology, controlled by Geely Auto, is entering the autonomous driving market with its in-house developed level 3 (L3) self-driving technology, set to debut at the Shanghai Auto Show in April. This move follows BYD's announcement of offering an autopilot system in all its cars, aiming to make autonomous driving accessible to a wider Chinese customer base.

Zeekr's CEO, An Conghui, stated that the L3 architecture would surpass existing technologies in computing power, structure, performance, and safety. This development coincides with Zeekr's acquisition of a 51% stake in Lynk, another premium EV brand under Geely, with the merged units now operating under a fully integrated ecosystem.
