Hong Kong homebuyers flock to NWD’s State Pavilia project amid ‘attractive’ pricing

New World Development (NWD) saw strong sales for its State Pavilia residential project in North Point, Hong Kong, with 103 of the 168 units on offer sold by 3pm Saturday. This positive reception comes even after the developer raised prices for this weekend's sales, signaling continued buyer interest in the Hong Kong property market.

The project, located on the site of the former State Theatre, is a redevelopment by NWD, controlled by the family of Henry Cheng Kar-shun. The units on offer included one, two, and three-bedroom flats, with prices ranging from HK$6.05 million to HK$20.4 million after discounts. The enthusiastic response, with over 4,800 buyers registering interest, may provide a boost to NWD as it works to reduce its substantial debt.
