Du Xueyi, head of economic crime prosecution, stated that Beijing would actively address illegal law enforcement driven by profit, including improper case filings, intervention in economic disputes, cross-regional arrests, and unlawful asset seizures. Prosecutors also plan to leverage technology and improve coordination to resolve outstanding criminal cases involving companies. In 2024, over 2,390 such cases were cleared after review.
