Visa-free access to Hong Kong, Singapore set to go on sale with these passports

Nauru plans to sell citizenships for at least $140,500 each to raise $65 million to relocate its population threatened by rising sea levels and floods. The funds will finance a project to transform the island's interior, which has been rendered uninhabitable by phosphate mining, into a new township with farms and workplaces, ultimately relocating around 90% of the population.

President David Adeang stated that this proactive step is necessary to secure the nation's future amidst global climate change debates. Nauru is following Dominica's lead in using citizenship sales to fund climate change resilience initiatives, highlighting the financial challenges small nations face in adapting to escalating climate effects, despite increased loans and grants from wealthier nations.
