According to a report by Liepin, a Chinese recruitment agency, 30.85% of surveyed companies plan to increase hiring in Q1 2025, a decrease from 39.3% in Q1 2024. This reluctance to expand the workforce is attributed to companies struggling to retain clients and reduce office vacancies amid budget cuts. Despite the year-on-year decline, the hiring outlook represents an improvement from the 25.64% reported in the fourth quarter of 2024.
