China is ready to be an anchor in a brave new multipolar world

The latest Munich Security Report, titled “Multipolarisation,” signals the end of the unipolar era, with many viewing China as a stabilizing force amid concerns over Donald Trump's agenda. The conference's thematic evolution, from "collective helplessness" to "lose-lose dynamics," now reflects a world of dispersing powers, accelerated by the prospect of a second Trump presidency.

This shift was evident in the increased representation from the Global South at the conference.
