The drones, a BZK-005 reconnaissance model and a Chengdu GJ-2 reconnaissance and attack drone, were tracked flying between Okinawa and Miyako Island before entering the Pacific and later retreating to the East China Sea. While the drones did not enter Japanese territorial airspace, the Japanese Defense Ministry stated they are closely monitoring the situation and taking all possible measures to conduct surveillance.
