Ex-Facebook director pens ‘explosive’ memoir about the ‘careless’ people running Meta

A tell-all memoir titled "Careless People," written by Meta's former director of global public policy Sarah Wynn-Williams, is set to be released on March 11, promising an "explosive dispatch" about her seven years at Facebook/Meta. The book will reportedly expose the inner workings of Meta, including details about the behaviors and priorities of top executives like Mark Zuckerberg and Sheryl Sandberg.

According to the publisher, Flatiron Books, Wynn-Williams' memoir will delve into Zuckerberg's attempts to expand Meta's reach into China, as well as her own initiatives to push the company to more actively monitor and address hate speech and misinformation on its platforms. The book aims to paint a picture of Meta's leadership as "profoundly flawed, self-interested, and careless," suggesting a critical perspective on the company's impact and internal dynamics.
