China’s Naura climbs the ranks of world’s top chipmaking equipment suppliers

Naura Technology Group, China's leading chip equipment maker, has risen to sixth place among global semiconductor equipment suppliers in 2024. This is up from eighth place in 2023, marking the first time the company has entered the top 10. Naura is the only Chinese firm in the top 10, with sales expected to increase by approximately 40% in 2024.

Naura's rise reflects China's broader push for self-reliance in core technologies like semiconductors, particularly amid increasing trade restrictions from the US and heightened tensions between the two countries. The top spot in the ranking is held by Dutch giant ASML Holding, followed by US companies Applied Materials and Lam Research. The combined revenue of the top 10 global chipmaking equipment suppliers increased by 10% to around US$110 billion in 2024.
