Australian woman admits trying to sell human toes she found in dog vomit
An Australian woman, Joanna Kinman, has pleaded guilty to offensive conduct after attempting to sell human toes recovered from dog vomit on the black market. Kinman, a ranger at an animal shelter in Victoria, retrieved the toes after two dogs surrendered to the shelter regurgitated them along with other human remains.
The dogs' owner had died of natural causes, and the animals subsequently consumed parts of his body. Kinman, upon finding the toes, preserved them in formaldehyde and discussed selling them online with her daughter, believing they could fetch up to A$400 (US$252). Police investigations revealed Kinman was a member of the "Bone Buddies Australia" Facebook group, a platform commonly used for buying and selling specimens online.
