UBTech partners with furniture chain to bring 10,000 robots to Chinese homes

UBTech Robotics is partnering with Easyhome New Retail Group to sell a total of 10,500 robots, including models designed for elderly care, signaling UBTech's push into the consumer market. The initial phase involves UBTech selling 500 humanoid robots to Easyhome for enhancing the shopping experience in furniture stores.

Easyhome plans to sell 10,000 UBTech robots to its customers, focusing on promoting intelligent elderly care robots for home service. The collaboration also includes developing "renovation robots" to improve efficiency and reduce costs in home remodeling. This partnership arrives amid rising public interest and production levels of humanoid robots in China, with service robot production increasing nearly 36% year-over-year from January to February.
