Diagnosed at age five, Jang gradually lost his ability to move, eventually relying on an eye-tracking mouse to type his entire thesis, word by painstaking word.
Jang's achievement is particularly remarkable given the challenges he faced. He began his graduate studies in 2019, by which point he could no longer use his hands to write or type.
